Pol Flores Pizzi
Born in Barcelona on December the 10th, 1992.
Ever since his childhood, he demonstrated a great capacity to observe Nature, especially the animal world: he began to transform those observations into pictures and clay models.
He started attending Barcelona’s Sarrià District Escola Traç to take up Plastic Arts lessons.
Sometime later, on the same center, he starts to learn Drawing and Painting with professors Aníbal Riverol, Montserrat Vila and, currently, Imma Alonso. He chooses oil panting because the choice and combination of strong and contrasted colors manifest as an important part of his expression style.
Once he finished his studies there, he felt attraction towards ceramics and signed up in Barcelona’s “La Industrial” School’s Ceramic Decoration course. He finished on the year 2013 and kept on specializing with the Adult Teaching courses.
At the same time, since the year 2012, he takes part on the Escola Tracç’s Ceramic courses by professor Victoria Villalonga.
His passion for the animal world and Nature in general pop out again in his works’ decoration along with the use of strong and contrasted colors. He did a series of small statues inspired in animals or fictional characters that stand out through their originality in forms and colors.
He’s taken part in several group exhibits of the Escola Traç, Escola Industrial and the Vallirana City Council, both as a ceramics artist and as a painter.
